Menzerna recommends applying this sealant with an orbital machine at minimum speed or by hand after preparing the surface with Control Cleaner. Power Lock contains no abrasives. Unlike many waxes, Power Lock should not be wiped off for 30 minutes and should be left to cure in a protected area for at least 3 hours. Power Lock’s durability can be improved by adding a second layer after allowing the first to cure for at least 4 hours (following the same procedure as the first layer). Some end users prefer to top this product with a high-quality carnuba/synthetic wax, but Power Lock cannot be layered repeatedly or in concert with another polymer sealant. Do not apply Power Lock on top of a wax as it may not adhere and cure properly, and its durability will be limited by how long the wax itself adheres to the surface.
